THE ASSET

Send players flying in their own Fortnite skins, watch them tumble into the scenery, then let them get back up where they land.

Ragdoll System brings smooth, natural full-body ragdoll motion to UEFN. Arms, legs and heads move as the body falls, rolls and bounces, so a small trip feels different from a full-power launch. Use it for knockback, obstacle courses, physics playgrounds or a game built entirely around throwing yourself at things.

Launch, fall and get back up

  • Your players’ own skins. Each ragdoll uses that player’s equipped Fortnite cosmetic.
  • Charged launches. Hold to build power, follow the aim arc and release to launch in the direction you’re looking. Launch strength, charge time and spin are adjustable.
  • Collapse in place. Toggle ragdoll without launching, then recover with a button press or jump.
  • Damage and big falls. Optional triggers turn hits and hard falls into ragdolls. Flying ragdolls can knock standing players over too.
  • A camera that follows the action. An orbit camera tracks the ragdoll while the player looks around.
  • Manual or automatic recovery. Choose when players get up, with rest-based recovery, time limits and a configurable safety height for falls off the island.

Built for multiplayer

The included setup has 16 preconfigured player slots, each with its own ragdoll display, physics body, camera and sequence. Players can ragdoll independently, and slots return to storage after use, ready for the next player.

Body movement is networked. Cosmetic limb poses are simulated on each client and can vary slightly between views.

Tune the feel and feedback

Choose Realistic, Floaty, Heavy or Chaos, or adjust gravity, launch force, spin and bounciness yourself.

The optional HUD shows a body-region impact diagram alongside speed, height, distance, spin and hit statistics. Cloth and impact sounds, landing dust, speed trails and a swap puff add feedback to launches and landings. HUD sections and effects can be switched off individually.

Verse events expose ragdoll starts, recovery, knockovers, motion-based limb-impact estimates and a summary of each run. Use them to drive your own damage, rewards or game rules.

What’s included

  • Ragdoll Device and editable Verse source.
  • A complete setup with 16 configured player slots.
  • The physics torso, camera anchor, Control Rig and slot-specific Level Sequences.
  • Hold-to-charge controls, power bar and predicted aim arc.
  • Configurable ragdoll HUD, MetaSound audio and visual effects.
  • Scene Graph prefabs for launch pads, bumpers, wind zones, trip zones and get-up zones.
  • A glowing hoop with an optional burst and chime.
  • A spinner component for rotating obstacles and sweepers.
  • A demo playground with examples, including ragdoll bowling.
  • Setup documentation, tooltips and setup checks.

Copy the configured setup from the demo into your island, assign your inputs and tune the settings on the device. Zone prefabs find the Ragdoll Device automatically; place and scale them to fit your level. Public Verse functions let you launch, push, recover or query individual players from your own systems.

Requirements: UEFN with island physics enabled. Supplied for UEFN; Fortnite cosmetics are displayed through the Player Reference device.
