ADEPT Asset Shop · Effective October 19, 2026 · Version 2026-10-19-inclusive
Build with it.
Know the rules.
One license covers one individual developer or one legal entity. Build and publish your projects, including commercial games. The asset files remain licensed to you; buying them does not transfer their ownership or give you permission to distribute them.
You may
- Use the asset in the licensed purchaser’s personal and commercial projects.
- Publish and monetize finished Fortnite islands and other supported games containing the asset.
- Adapt the files, change their appearance or behavior, and combine them with your own work.
- Reuse the asset across the purchaser’s projects and keep private working copies and backups.
- Let an entity’s employees and contractors use the files only to work on that entity’s projects, under the conditions below.
You may not
- Resell, give away, trade, sublicense, or publicly distribute the original or modified asset files.
- Share a license between unrelated developers, friends, teams, or separate companies.
- Upload the files to a public repository, shared asset library, template, or downloadable asset pack.
- Pass editable asset files to an unlicensed client or collaborator for their own projects.
- Share account access, download credentials, or recovery links to give someone else the asset.
1. Your license and project rights
This Asset License is an agreement between AD3PT Interactive Inc. (“ADEPT”, “we”, or “us”) and the individual developer or legal entity identified as the purchaser (“you” or the “purchaser”). “Asset” means the digital files supplied with the applicable ADEPT Asset Shop product, including any supplied source code, models, materials, textures, interfaces, documentation, and updates.
By expressly accepting this license at checkout, you agree to the version identified for that purchase and the refund policy incorporated into it. A person purchasing for an entity must have authority to accept these terms for that entity. For a paid asset, the license is granted upon successful payment; for a free asset, it is granted when ADEPT completes the claim.
Subject to these terms, ADEPT grants the purchaser a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the asset as described below. The asset is licensed, not sold: ADEPT and the relevant creators retain their intellectual property rights in it. No ownership of the asset is transferred, and no rights beyond those expressly granted by this license or applicable law are granted. This does not give ADEPT ownership of your independently created project content.
You may use, privately copy, modify, and incorporate the asset into projects owned or developed by the licensed purchaser. You may release and earn revenue from finished projects containing it. ADEPT takes no share of that project revenue under this license. The license does not limit the number of the purchaser’s projects unless a listing clearly states different terms before checkout.
A finished game may contain the asset as an integrated part of the experience. This permission does not allow a release whose purpose is to distribute reusable asset files, source code, or an editable asset template to other creators.
Listed Asset Shop prices are in USD and include applicable taxes, including GST/HST where charged. No tax is added to the listed price at checkout. Contact support if you need a tax invoice for your purchase.
2. Teams, contractors, and client work
An entity license covers the purchasing entity’s projects. Its employees and contracted collaborators may access the files only as needed for that work. The purchaser must ensure they keep the files private, comply with this license, and delete their copies when their work for the entity ends. They do not receive a separate license or permission to reuse the asset for themselves or another client. The purchaser is responsible for access it provides under this permission.
An individual license does not become a shared team license because several people are working together. Separate developers or entities require their own licenses unless their access is covered by the entity permission above. Separate companies do not share one license merely because they have the same owner or collaborate.
You may deliver a finished client game containing the asset as integrated content. If the handoff includes the asset’s editable files or lets the client reuse those files, the client must hold its own license. A contractor working under a client entity’s license may use the files only for that client’s projects.
3. Distribution and resale are prohibited
Except for the limited entity collaboration in section 2, you must not sell, sublicense, rent, lend, gift, publish, or otherwise make the asset files available to another person or entity. This applies to original files, modified versions, converted formats, and extracted parts. Modifying an asset does not create redistribution rights in the supplied material.
You must not include the files in another asset pack, starter project, template library, public repository, shared asset library, or competing reusable product. You must not share an ADEPT account, download token, or recovery link to provide access contrary to these terms. Any broader distribution arrangement requires ADEPT’s separate written permission.
4. Compatibility and third-party rights
Check the listing’s contents, supported tools, versions, dependencies, and limitations before buying. Only the compatibility stated in the listing is represented; another engine, a custom setup, or a later platform update may require changes. This license does not promise compatibility outside that stated scope or limit any remedy for an asset that fails to meet its description.
Separately identified third-party components keep their own licenses. Follow applicable platform rules, including any restrictions on using platform-owned content elsewhere. Neither those terms nor this license grants rights in third-party material beyond the rights its owner permits. Those terms do not expand your rights to ADEPT’s original files.
5. Delivery, backups, and updates
Signed-in purchases are saved to the purchaser’s ADEPT library for later downloads and any updates ADEPT makes available. Guest checkout provides one download of each included file, available for 24 hours in the purchasing browser. While that browser still proves ownership, you can explicitly save the purchase to an ADEPT account from the receipt. Signing in alone does not transfer a purchase.
Keep a private backup of your downloads. Contact support about failed delivery or access problems. Updates, new features, future compatibility, and ongoing support are not included as guaranteed obligations unless the listing expressly promises them. This does not exclude any obligation or remedy required by applicable law.
6. All sales are final
Paid digital asset purchases are final. We do not offer voluntary refunds, returns, or exchanges, except where required by applicable law. Digital files can be downloaded, copied, and retained, so they cannot be returned like physical goods. Review the listing and ask any questions before purchasing.
Changing your mind, choosing the wrong asset, no longer needing it, not using or downloading it, or discovering that it does not suit an unsupported project does not create a voluntary refund entitlement. The full refund policy forms part of these purchase terms. Mandatory consumer rights are preserved.
7. Reversed payments and license termination
A full refund or final payment reversal ends the license and download access granted by that purchase. You must stop using the affected asset and delete the supplied files and copies. Where only a clearly identified item or license quantity is refunded, this applies to that item or quantity; unrefunded licenses remain subject to these terms. A material breach of this license may also result in termination of the affected license.
Nothing in this license excludes, restricts, or waives any right, guarantee, or remedy that applicable law does not permit us to exclude, restrict, or waive. If a provision is unenforceable, it applies only to the extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent they can operate independently.
8. Applicable version and questions
The version accepted at checkout governs the applicable purchase. Publishing a later version does not, by itself, replace the terms of an earlier purchase. A separately negotiated written agreement applies to the extent it expressly grants different rights. The summary above is a reading aid; the detailed terms define the scope of the license, subject always to mandatory rights.
Unsure whether your team, client handoff, or intended use is covered? Contact support before purchasing or sharing files. For custom work or separately negotiated rights, tell us about your project.
